Girls night out always sends a chill down my spine. I have some of the best dressed girls known to man as Best Friends and I always panic that my look isn't going to be on par. Solution: borrow clothes from said Best Friends. This dress is borrowed from my gurl SinCity (muchos gracias babes). It's a H&M beaut bargain that she bought for only £12.99! 

The dress really does accentuate my curvy bod/bum and I kind of like it. Hey! Gotta love the skin you're in. 

In other news, I found a similar dress to the one I was looking for! It was found on ebay and one won the auction. Super excited to receive it and recreate the Nasty Gal look, along with the armlet that I've bought. My ebay jewellery addiction is definitely reaching new heights, on my recently purchased items out of about 20, 18 are jewels. I bought a two Nicole Richie inspired necklaces, they came in the post today and whilst I love the pendant part of one of them, the chain is super tacky/cheap looking gold so I'll be getting a new longer chain for it.

Sleepless in Seattle. Tuesday night I got ZERO sleep, was so bloody tired at work, so last night I ended up sleeping for 12 hours!!!! Was so shocked when I woke up! This is my work outfit from yesterday. It was a more casual, fun outfit. I probably wouldn't wear this to a meeting, but would to a work event. If it was sunnier, I would swap the black accessories for something a bit brighter (no tights of course!)

Today is my day of working from home so no work outfit tomorrow... My day will consist of  watching tonnes of CSI (and other similar shows) I think I'm obsessed with them! After the normal girly shows- Revenge, Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries etc... I just love a gritty bit of gruesome tv! CSI, NY, Miami, NCIS, The Mentalist, Law and Order... I could go on all day! Anyone else got a secret love for crime solving shows? haha. 

I just mentioned Revenge, you're watching it right?! I started watching it and got so obsessed I was a naughty girl and watched all of them online, BUT I do still watch them on a Monday on E4 with my friend! Everything about it is so good, especially Ashley's wardrobe, I'm in love with Ashley Madekwe. Check out her blog. It's to die for! 

Sorry for all the TV talk, I really have no life right now, all it consists of is work/gym/eat/lay in bed watching tv/sleep, then do it all again! Enjoy your day! XOXO AVS

If you saw my 'gurrl crush' post, then you'll know that I am truly, madly, deeply in girl crush lurrrrve with the amazing Lana Del Rey. I was very very very VERY lucky to be given the opportunity to go and see her perform at a very intimate gig on Wednesday night @ The Jazz Cafe in London. 

Straight up, this night was amazing and one of the best I've had in a long time! She sang a few of her new songs from her amazing debut album. Despite what was said about her SNL performance, I can safely say she has an amazing voice and a weird but amazing stage presence. Everyone in the room was mesmerised.

~this post is a little out of date, however with the news of another little Beckham on the way I wanted to celebrate Mrs B~

You may or may not have heard me mention in the past my love for a certain Mrs Beckham. The amount of love I have for this lady is immense! I've never been one of those types to have massive lifelong loves or monthly crushes on fit actors or handsome singers, my one true love is Victoria Beckham.

 Ever since Spice girls the movie, "Which dress shall I wear? The little black Gucci dress or the little black Gucci dress?" I fell in love. Yeah Baby spice was loved and adored by everyone and wore a lot of pink, but Posh was classy and mysterious (and didn't wear those hideously clumpy boots that Baby+Scary wore!!)

Victoria has been on a style journey in the past 10 years; she went from the little black Gucci dress, to reavealling WAG appropriate Roberto Cavalli and back to a simple little black dress. Her name is huge in fashion industry right now, she was even nominated for the Best Designer Brand award at the British Fashion Awards 2010. 

This month Victoria has graced the cover of British Vogue for a third time, (solo this is her second cover). What a massive achievement. Not only does Victoria have her January issue to celebrate she is also 3 months pregnant with her 4th little Beckham, a massive congratulations to her and the hubby. 

Here is a run through of VB's covers for your viewing pleasure :) 

Her first cover in 1998, from the Spice Girls days makes me laugh, all the other girls are smiling away and there's Victoria pouting away! I love the April 2008 cover, I remember being at college and my best friend brought her copy in and just envying Victoria, she looks amazing. I'm not too keen on the fact that May 2010 was so similar in pose... Could they not think of another one?

Out of these final four, my least favourite is the Feb 2009 cover, simply for the fact you can't see her eyes, yeah you can tell it's her, but if you didn't know it was her would that draw you to the magazine (if you didn't usually buy Vogue that is) I do love her eyebrows in the May 2010 cover though, she looks incredible. 

Having graced British, Turkish, Spanish, Russian and Indian Vogue, all that is left is American! Then world domination! ~ Long live the StyleQueen!  

Mega envious of her (potential) little girl. Think about the wardrobe she'll inherit.

anyone who knows me will know that i am addicted/infatuated/obsessed with leopard print. all are appropriate words. i say this every year that leopard print comes back into fashion "i was wearing it first". Primark do these little £4 pumps have you seen them? well i've owned about 8 pairs and each have been falling to pieces when i finally decided to throw them away.

I've been obsessed with Vintage Chanel Classic bag (quilted leather, double chain handles, gold tone signature detail) since... I don't actually know how long. I'm ashamed to say my first 'inspired' buy, was an awful silver (yes silver!) quilted bag... I remember the day I saw it in the shop (Boros- in case you wondered) and it had a price tag to £14.99. Yes, now I know its completely hideous, but back then I loved it, my aunt saw this desire to own said bag and purchased it for me as an 'early birthday present'. The bag was on my shoulder for months, until the handle snapped off that is. I think I've owned every high street imitation of the Classic Chanel Quilted Clutch. (My favourite being my Marc B...)

Anywho, todays www is a beaut, its a step back from the Chanel, its so simple, and  incorporates the gorgeous chain handle feature. Much love for this beautiful Mulberry bag (also comes in light brown leather!)

you know you love me...

I don't know many things... I'm not academically gifted, I don't know how to draw, I can't even play an instrument... But I do know one thing... Gossip Girl is one of the best TV shows ever created. The fashion, the beautiful people, the manipulation, the lifestyle... Don't get me wrong quite a lot of the complex characters seem to live quite a lonely life- I'm on season 3 right now and Serena may have the looks but she didn't really have any friends at one point...

Which leads me to explain why that photo above is so drab. I have no make up on, and am wearing a leopard print tee from H&M and some Superdry trackies. Today is my 'catch-up-on-gossip-girl-day'. Being at uni last year and having a very active social/drinking life, didn't leave me much time to watch TV programmes (or study for that matter... -must.change.ways.) so in honour of season 4 coming on to our screens and starting a new leaf, I'm tryna catch up to have that weekly suspense feeling at the end and beginning of each episode. Lovely jubbly.

ruffling up a few feathers...

Michelle from daisybutter commented on my previous post and kindly informed me that there was a Peacock dress currently in stock in Topshop... Well I had a scout about and here it is... The Peacock One Sleeve Dress... It was everything I expected and more, I love the sheer sleeve, the elasticated waist and not too dear price (£45)...  I'm thinking a thin black plait belt and some nice black pumps for the evening. 

Going on the theme of 'peacock' I found these other dresses and very reasonable prices... 

Left: Mina Peacock Feather Dress, I chose this dress as its quite casual, a dress to wear during the day with some thick tights, brogues, satchel bag and a khaki parka? The dress is from ASOS and currently has 61% of the original price (£22 at the mo!) 

Right: The second dress, Vero Moda Peacock Dress is obviously alot more glam and very flirty yet sophisticated, perfect for a few cocktails with the girls. I love the neck of this dress, it's something completely different, and the ruffles/layers are very cute. All of this and its black- a staple colour in my shoe wardrobe. The final thing attracting me to this dress is its nifty price- £15!! It's from Oli.co.uk, go check it out :)

a few of my favourite things...

ring-a-ling-a-ding. these are three of my favourite rings. from left to right: primark (either £1.50 or £2), the middle ring was actually given to me by my cousin on holiday so no clue where its from, but its a statement which i love! And last but not least 'the owl ring', not going to lie, but I can't even remember where I brought this ring from, I'm going with either topshop or accessorize, but can't be 100% sure. These three are the ones I wear the most out of my vast collection...

In the forefront of the photo is my ring that my dad got me for my 18th birthday. He got my mum one similar when they were together so when it came to him getting me something special for my 18th I wanted one the same, and since I've had mine it's been worn every single day. It's actually a Russian Wedding band (each band is a different gold; white, rose and yellow), but I like to think there's a ring each for me, my mum and my dad. Kind of sad but hey.

Last year, Cerie (my muma) got me a beautiful Macbook for Christmas. Honestly it was the best gift I've ever been given, I've never loved, used and treasured a present as much as my Mac. I use it every day without fail, usually the first thing I turn on in the morning and one of the last things I turn off at night. I saw this picture on a random lovey dovey website and it got me thinking....

 

How many soulmates do we have? Is there just one person out there for each of us that we are completely compatible with? Or more? Or maybe, none? 

I personally think that we freak out too much when it comes to love, and we always worry and pressure ourselves into being absolutely sure when making decisions in love, because we feel that there are no second chances and that this it...

fashion shockers...

When I went to London last week, I spotted a pair of shoes in a shop window... 

Two big shockers... 1. They were from Next. 2. They were CLOGS! Yes! Clogs!

Since like forever, I've been totally against clogs, they are ugly, they make a weird noise when you walk... you get my drift. However 2010 Summer collection's Clogs have me smiling! So, whilst I'm deciding on which colour to get, I concocted a few outfits for the beauts. 

What's the conclusion? I've seen clogs ranging in price from £12 (Primark) and the ones I saw in Next for £40... Grr I hate being on a student budgent. 

So kids, how's your week going so far? I've been enjoying the sun with my gal pals, both of their boyfriends are on holiday at the moment, so we're spending A LOT of girltime together!

obsessions...

So I get these TV addictions... It happens like twice a year, but it happens big. The O.C, One Tree Hill, Prison Break, Heroes, 90210, The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl (my one true love)  are to name but a few... I get hold of the dvd boxsets and watch them within the shortest period of time...
My O.C addiction was a scary time! I swear I was verging clincally depressed toward the end of season 3, firstly because Marissa died, and secondly it killed me to watch their perfect lifes!

This week its Entourage, I borrowed the season one boxset, five more to go so theres no stopping me! I love their lives, obviously only gonna happen if I or my besties become movie stars but hey...

Life plan:
- Graduate university with a degree in Public Relations & Communications...
- Move to Los Angeles to live with my beautiful cousin!
- Bam! Live happily FOREVERRRR.

Anyone else have such a simple life plan? :P
