Bonjourno, I hope your Bank Holiday Monday was pretty fabulous/relaxing/full of food & family... 

• uno. breaking news: I'm heading off to Scotland on Sunday. Unfortunately my Granny, who is 96 (!!) years old is poorly, so me, my dad and little sisters are going on a road trip up to the land of Scots to see her, instead of taking our planned mini holiday. 
• dos. Last week when I went down to Southampton I didn't take the appropirate attire for the house party I was planning on going to, so me and my BFF KatieCakes, hit West Quay (Southampton's amaaaziiing shopping mall). It was pretty cute being there with KC again after being apart for the last three months solid. We used to hit WestQuay everyday after uni for a spot of shopping or a KFC. Anywho, so I found this really nice top from H&M and it was a bargain at only £7.99...., I wore it with my topshop jeggings and some Nude New Look Pumps (Heels). Next time I wear the top I plan to wear this really cute leopard print bandeau that I also spotted in H&M. (See picture. I'm on the left, my friend Loren is on the right). 
• tres. I've been working so manically and ridiculous hours lately as well as doing that university work, so please excuse my irregular blogging, once I'm in a routine again I will blog regularly, once, twice  maybe even three times a day, opposed to this crappy once a week shizz. 
• cuatro. Tomorrow I'm heading down to Southampton yet again to take some more stuff down AKA clothes, books and TV. My mum is coming with me, so I'm 99.9% sure she'll end up wanting to go round to the fabulous Ikea. Which I used to hate, but since I've got my own territory, I don't mind so much! Plus, because she loves Ikea stuff, she buys me 'stuff'. Haha.

why hello there...

Hello there beautiful bloggers, I hope you are all well! Sorry I haven't posted for ages (again), I've been homeswapping, not quite literally, but I've been down in southampton taking all my stuff down to my new house!

I had a lovely night out with my best friends, we went to the first of many house parties, which was fun, it was also pretty interesting to see all our other friends new houses!

When I got back from So'ton, I went out for a friends birthday. It was her 18th, so a big night for her! This is a quick pic of what I wore, my mum took it when I was leaving the house, for some reason she was a little overwhelmed...? Weird woman!

Anyway, I'm just about to do a 4day catch up of blogreading! See you soon!

a few of my favourite things...

ring-a-ling-a-ding. these are three of my favourite rings. from left to right: primark (either £1.50 or £2), the middle ring was actually given to me by my cousin on holiday so no clue where its from, but its a statement which i love! And last but not least 'the owl ring', not going to lie, but I can't even remember where I brought this ring from, I'm going with either topshop or accessorize, but can't be 100% sure. These three are the ones I wear the most out of my vast collection...

In the forefront of the photo is my ring that my dad got me for my 18th birthday. He got my mum one similar when they were together so when it came to him getting me something special for my 18th I wanted one the same, and since I've had mine it's been worn every single day. It's actually a Russian Wedding band (each band is a different gold; white, rose and yellow), but I like to think there's a ring each for me, my mum and my dad. Kind of sad but hey.

THE FOOL'S GOLD KNUCKLEBUSTER

Gorgeous ring isn't it... When I was little fool's gold always used to fascinate me, my step-brother had this massive lump of it when we were like 11, he told me it was like a rare stone from like outer space or something...yeah he got it from the Natural History Museum or something... Wow I was naive.

The ring is by a beautiful up and coming LA based designer, Amanda Thomas of Luv AJ jewellery. Last year whilst on vacation in the City of Angels I met the lovely Amanda, she took a photo of me for the whowhatwear.com 'MySpace Muse' feature. As she used to work at whowhatwear.com, Amanada knows full well what all the superstar fashionista's of Hollywood want. Go check out her designs!

Today I spent the day doing uni work and watching the disney channel with my little sister. Damn I didn't know how good kids tv was these days! Hannah Montana, The Suite Life of Zac & Cody and The Princess Protection Programme etc etc. Yes yes yes. After all this fun tv programming I took my bestie and her beaut little pup to the vets, pics of her outfit coming tomorrow. She looks gorgeous.

Tomorrow is a day full of exciting plans... Watching my little sister again, interviewing my sassy aunt for a university magazine article (on body art- she's got some beautiful tattoo's), then finally in the evening I'm going down to Southampton to see all my old friends and have a belated birthday/housewarming chinese with my housemates and friends. Oh so excited.

I have decided to start living my life a little differently from the beginning of September. I don't really believe in New Years celebrations because I think you can give yourself a new start any day that you want. There's not just one time slot a year to start a fresh! I really messed up my first year of uni, so much so that I'm contemplating changing my course. So this year I'm not drinking anymore, and I'm actually ok with that, it's an expensive habit which normally leaves me very hungover the next day. Saving money and working hard are other changes, as well as eating healthier and going for the odd jog now and then. This all sounds like a lot, but it'll all fall into place once I've moved into my little house in Southampton.

working 9-5...

...AND MORE! Jeez, I have never worked so hard in my entire life! Since thursday night I have just been working like crazy. On Saturday I worked from 9:30am until 10pm straight. My oh my. My ankles literally seized up on saturday night, which wasn't good. Made work tonight a tad uncomfortable!

I have some stupid induction day for my new job (at a popular chicken joint) tomorrow, so I thought I'd bring you a post now. This is me on Friday afternoon, whilst waiting in the Dorothy Perkins changing room for my Mother. (I'm wearing: DP Blazer, H&M Vest, DIY shorts, Ebay Boots, Random Necklace, Mischa Barton Bag.)

It's a pretty terrible quality so I do apologise for the standard iPhone pic!

This week is going to be pretty hectic, I have a lot of uni work to be doing for a deadline in 7 days. Nicht gut.

I hope you all have a marvellous monday. My day is going to be shocking, for a start I have to be up at 6am (that's always the sign of a bad day if i've got to be up before 10!).

Here are some photos of me and my beautiful housemate Beth when we went out for the night in Southampton last month. Beth only just sent me these photos so I had completely forgotten they existed! Please excuse the water splash on my dress in photo 2, when I'm drunk literally anything can happen I'm so clumsy. (How jealous of her uber long legs are we?!?!- although she has to kinda crouch in photos with my short ass!)

Beth considers a photo a good one if she's not looking at the camera so she'll probably hate that I included photo 2. (Hi Beth if you read this teehee). I'm not sure where any of Beth's outfit is from but I'll be sure to ask her. Check out her heels, they're fierce aren't they?! I'm definitely borrowing them at some point soon (love you 'homie').

cheeky little smile...

I love that smile you get when everything starts falling in to place, after what seems like an eternity of bad luck.

Right now the pieces are all coming together for me and it's good. I'm happy in all aspects of my life.

It's left me with that weird little smile on my face that I can't wipe off, even if I try.

The only down part of my life at the moment is my lack of new purchases, I'm just about ok in the money department but by no means able to be spending on new clothes. Which saddens me, because when I'm down that's what cheers me up.

My plan for today is:

uno. to go by supplies for my weekend of evening shifts at the restaurant: red bull & proplus + nightnurse + blister plasters.

dos. do some university work. I unfortunately have a few retakes to do due to lack of concentration on my studies at the end of the year. big mistake that was!

tres. organise my room into 4 areas: home stuff/uni stuff/ebay stuff/carboot stuff (yes i got persuaded my father to do a carboot sale next sunday- i have to be up at 6am! eeeeek)

cuatro. tidy the house. my mother moans i don't do enough whilst she's out working fulltime.

cinco. take photos for bloggy mcblogson.

Last year, Cerie (my muma) got me a beautiful Macbook for Christmas. Honestly it was the best gift I've ever been given, I've never loved, used and treasured a present as much as my Mac. I use it every day without fail, usually the first thing I turn on in the morning and one of the last things I turn off at night. I am officially in love with the Urban Outffiters home collection. 

As previously mentioned, I am moving into my own house at University with some friends of mine. As well as a kitchen, living+dining room, bathroom & conservatory to decorate, I have my own room which I am going for the theme of shabby chic/floral galore etc thanks to the massive fitted wardrobes already in the room (with vintage old floral handles on).

After scouting the Urban Outfitters website for yet more nic-nacs this is what I came back with:

I think the cute little hooks will look good by the door to hang my keys on, and I love the idea of a jewellery dish to display all your rings, bracelets etc...to yourself when dressing, whilst being aesthetically pleasing.

The outfit: Dorothy Perkins Blazer, Primark Tee & Necklace, F21 Jeans, New Look Sandals. 

Today I got dressed in super quick time as I made plans to meet my best friend for dinner, 5 minutes before we were meant to meet... This meant there was no time for that long rigmarole of washing my hair, blow drying and then straightening or curling so I quickly shoved it into a ponytail (with the aid of 10 grips) and put this old silk scarf around my head, tied into a Gaga-esque bow and I was done. 

I know a lot of fashion bloggers always say that they hate jeans/denim, because I guess in a way it's lazy...It's the easy option. This is why I love jeans so much (and I'm not a fashion blogger), I own about 20 different pairs of jeans (I go through favourite phases though!) and tend to wear them with pretty much anything; cardigans, blazers, leather jackets, t-shirts, shirts, tops, short dresses, etc etc... 

Along with the jeans my military boots are fast becoming a staple in my wardrobe, I love mixing them with a cutesy dress and a leather jacket or ripped jeans and a chunky cardigan. Versatility goes a long way in my wardrobe! And it doesn't just stop at clothes either...

When I got back off of my holiday in June I brought a bag from Egypt it was a black 'leather' bag that had short and long straps so you could wear in in so many different styles... For the first two weeks back from my holiday I centred each of my outfits around that one bag!

P.S in case you were wondering if I simply ran out of clothing to centre outfits around the bag or if I fell out of love with it, neither were the case... I used the bag so much that these tiny little screws fell out and the handles are in danger of falling off any day now... :(

I personally think that we freak out too much when it comes to love, and we always worry and pressure ourselves into being absolutely sure when making decisions in love, because we feel that there are no second chances and that this it...

Right now, Lily is the reason I want my hair to grow quicker.  Look how amazing this headband looks with her gorgeous long locks!

I dont know what its going to be but I can tell that I'm very soon going to resort to some form of extensions or something, however I'm not sure my hair is thick enough for a weave or the right colour for my clip ins.

pretty little pieces

I just signed the contract on a house at University in Southampton... The room I got in the shared house of four girls is a small double room, complete with a bed, desk and fitted wardrobes the width of the room. Perfect for a girl like me who has a LOT of stuff. I would say clothes or shoes but its just general stuff... 

I haven't been that excited about moving into the room just yet because it's so bare and I hadn't really thought about how I was going to decorate and personalise it. The walls are magnolia, the carpet cream and the wardrobes are white (with cute little retro floral handles). 

Where to start really... So I thought about what I already have... A really cute shabby chic patchwork floral quilt (sounds posh but it's actually from tescos!) Going with this theme of white and pastels I've chosen these larger items. (More nic-nacs to come!)

Last night saw Lana-Lou and Indie Sindy hit HoneyClub in BTOWN (aka brighton) there was no alcohol involved, however there was a lot of redbull, hoe-mance (femme version of bromance, you get me) and partying hard.

First night I had been out in quite sometime without alcohol invloved and I gotta admit- I LOVED IT!
At the end of the night all the rich snobby girls from my old college were drunk and crying and I was sober and judgmental and it felt gurrrrrrd. Ok I'm kidding, I felt kinda bad for them even though they hadn't ever spoken to anyone outside their friendship group in two years... Corrrr girls like that should be made aware of that little thing called Karma....

Anyways, I'm off to do my nightshift at work, have a fab weekend lovelies.

this is Simba, my best friends 9week old puppy, new to our family! 

he's a scruffy looking little thing, but his face is gorgeous and has a funny little waddle walk.

everytime his little face looks up at us we cant help but melt. 

i have a cat and he's pretty independent but right now Simba is like a teeny little baby, you constantly have to keep an eye on him, house training him is gonna be a long and slowwww process!
