round up, round up

yes, i'm wearing that  striped jumper again- it is pretty much my favourite item of clothing at the moment. i'm not liking this fringe with the hair down anymore, so i've taken to wearing it in some gay little bun each day, saves me washing my hair i guess, gone through a most of a can of batiste since i've had the fringe done... haha. so lazy.

※ just about to go to university to do a few hours of study, i can't focus at home for some reason. too many distractions. ※ watched a film called the resident last night- freaky stuff, it starred hillary swank (i believe she also produced it) basically about this doctor who moves into a new apartment, it is beautiful and underpriced, seems too good to be true, well it is. turns out her landlord is actually spying on her and drugging her and doing naaasty stuff to her whilst she sleeps. quite disturbing.  ※ i won a giveaway! wooo, thank you so much to ashley @ The Button Box  i will take some pics when i receive my lovely prizes! i was only saying to michelle the other day that i never win anything! :)  ※ what are your plans for the weekend? i have my muma coming down on saturday, then on sunday my dad and little sisters will be popping down (for a sunday roast no doubt!) miss the famalam so it will be nice to have a weekend full of them!

half-term.

I realised the other day whilst in town with michelle that there were a lot of kids about- half term is upon us peeps. So i am on a sort of blogging half term taking the time to avoid town and hit the library and spend many hours at my desk instead. I have a lot of work to do and only a few weeks left to do it all- the second year of uni is shaping up to be a tough one! 

But before all that work can commence I am going to remove my 6 week old acrylic nails whilst watching an episode of gossip girl, then preparing for my little sisters arrival to my uni house- slumber party hell yeah! haha.

grab yo-self a bargain

Bonjour beauts! No interesting post today sorry- totally had one of those miserable days where everything about myself was grotesque. I went for a coffee to starbies with Michelle today and she told me all the goss from the Look Show. 

As you may have read in my previous post I bought a fauxfurleopardprintcoat from Motel Rocks last week, and to cut a long story short- didn't read the returns policy so i'm stuck with it! £51 is a bit steep to lose out on as I am a very very very poor student.

This coat is a gorgeous, warm little number that looks gorgeous dressed up or dressed down, the only reason I didn't like it was because of the neck/collar. I'm a fussy moo.

fur delights.

So warm, so versatile, so stylish- yes I'm talking about the (faux) fur coat. I've been searching for my perfect fur coat for so long and I've finally found it in the form of this little ASOS beauty. I had previously bought this leopard print number from Motel Rocks, (if you'd be interested in buying it from me- Motels returns policy sucks- then give me an email [xoxoavs@gmail.com]) I always try to mix the outfit underneath up, however it is very tempting to just wear black skinnies + black heels to give the outfit its chic look that the coat deserves.

yellowsmellooo's, how you are you today? it's been one of those days for me where everything is annoying the hell out of me. had a very productive day off uni- went to the library and got some books out 8-) and went for coffee with the girls. 

had the full fringe cut in yesterday, what do you think? loadsa people kept telling me i looked like jessie j last night! haha. sorry this is such a short post but i just wanted to show you the hurrr. might be heading to london this weekend for LFW related activities. woohoo.

Bonjourno lovelies! I've seen two people do this ribbon neck-tie thingy, Kirsty and Beth, so I thought I would take inspiration from them and try it myself... I popped down to the fabric land in town and got a metre of this black ribbon for like 40p or something ridiculous like that. Whilst I was in there I was inspired to maybe bring my sewing machine down to Uni and start getting a little more creative again with my clothes (I used to alter loads of dresses and once made myself an Audrey Hepburn LBD for my bestfriends birthday party!)

Today I couldn't be assed to wash my hair so I whacked it up in a bun, perfect as it left the neck area free to be admired haha. A splash of red lippy made this outfit complete (I only found this out when I got home, looked all bland all day now grr.) I wore the denim shirt with skinny jeans, wedge shoesies and a leather jacket! Tonight I am promo'ing so I will be donning my new fur coat (a post to come on that!) to keep warm! 

Ok so I know I always mention it and I do apologise, but I had my telephone meeting with my future work experience boss, Catherine, last night. And basically- I am so freaking excited!!!!!! I am going in June/July, for a minimum of three weeks! My first thought was (no surprise) 'what am I going to wear?!' 

Shopping is obviously going to be second on my list of priorities (after trying to secure myself a job for after my graduation haha), but I want to go out there with a pretty sophisticated suitcase full of clothes, ready for work + play time! (Catherine said she is at events at least 5 nights out of 7!)

I'll be writing quite alot about trends and garments that will be perfect for my adventure to the West Coast of America, if you know of any blogs that focus of LA style (or similar) then please, please, pleeeease LINK ME to them!!!!

H A P P Y . V A L E N T I N E S . D A Y . 

to all of you beautiful girlies reading this! I hope today you are lavished with love- whether that be from a boyfriend or girlfriend, mum or dad, friend or cat! 

If you've read the blog before you'll know that I had a weave put in last month, it was lovely, and I loved having lengthen locks, but after 6 weeks of being treated badly yesterday was the day to say adios! Just before I (when I say 'I', I mean my mum- thanks mum!) took it out, I was in Superdrug and on impulse I brought an XXL Live hair colur (Cyber Purple)... Took the extensions out and whacked in the colour- here's the result: 

Quite dark, washed me out a little, but you know its better than the boring brown colour it was before. In case your wondering no I am not pregnant and piling on the pounds I am just in a very clingy dress (New Look Leopard peter pan collar- I got it for something like £3!!! [Student discount+money of this style dress or something when brought with a pair of shoes!])

My weekend at home was absolutely lovely, I saw went out for drinks on Saturday night (yum yum Malibu+Pineapple) and saw 'Just go with it' with Jennifer Aniston  & Adam Sandler- OMG hilarious. You should definitely go see it :D

I'm pretty sure I saw Topshop's version of this jumper floating around in OOTD posts.... Well I brought the gorgeous stripe jumper from Primark last week for a mere £11 probably around a 1/4 of what Topshop would charge you for!

This week was quite uneventful! I went to Danny Byrd @ Audio Southampton on wednesday... It was a effing amaaaaaziiiiing night, even though I went home quite early! Took me the whole of thursday to recover- you can tell you're getting older when it takes a whole day to recover from a night out!

I'm heading home this weekend (FINALLY), to see my muma & Max Power wooo!! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend, see you on sunday lovelies! XOXO AVS

Nothing at all important to report to you today, I'm not wildly wishing, more focussed on things I can achieve right now like good grades at uni, working hard to save up money to make my trip to LA the best it can be, things like that you know... Yeah it's good to dream but sometimes it's also good to focus on what you can 'do' in life. 

SO back to the package... Can you guess what it is? It features two of the most gorgeous men, an epic love battle as well as other 'battles'....

I thought this would be popping up in my christmas presents but my mum said she was going to buy them for me as a set (completely unaware that I so far already own Twilight + New moon- silly mummy ha). Going to watch it tonight! Sorry for the late post my papa came down to see me and we went to Bella Italia for a nice dinner (50% off with a student card- get in!)

I can't quite pinpoint the day where I thought "hmm, yeah it's actually ok to wear leather shorts"... 

When you say 'leather shorts' now, you think of gorgeous girls like Andy T wearing them in all sorts of gorgeous colours with uh-maaazing killer heels, but if you said the same phrase like last year, I would of thought of some grimy american biker dude driving through the desert...? Hmmm how quickly fashion changes ey...

this outfit and photo is very bad. the top makes me look hideously boxy+flat, i just wore it with a headscarf from primark (see primark 'haul' post next week) leather jacket, scarf, black skinnies + handbag. my reasoning for posting such a bad outfit is i honestly haven't much else to say right now. (btw, please excuse my slippers in the picture haha)

my papa was working near my uni today so he took me out for a burger+beer, which was nice. tried to take some pics of stuff i'm going to sell on ebay but the lighting was absolutely terrible. i'm going to buy a tripod thingy thing this week so hopefully we'll be up and running with some regular outfit posts soon.

This week I've had a little fun with Wildest Wednesday Wishes, I saw these gorgeous Louboutin's whilsts browing Net-a-porter a while ago. Loub's are on my 'one-day-save-up-for-it' list, along with the Chanel Quilted handbag I always go on about... Anyway, I decided to make a nice little outfit to go with the gorgeous shoes (I get that the clutch bag is actually more expensive, but ya'know I kinda just liked the colour). What would you wear these beauties with?

So this is my interpretation of the shoes into an outfit- do you like? I love the shoes with the detailed design, the mesh area kinda feels flirty yet covered up, which I feels perfectly compliments this Temperley dress- sophisticated whilst oozing sex appeal (I've heard that backs are the new boobs!) Finished off with this gorgeous little clutch, to fit in your lippy + $$ (probably not your iphone- so not practical!)
