Hello beautiful chica's! It's been so long!  

I've honestly never been so busy; working at the PR company, spending my hard earned wages, partying- I'm really loving living in the new house with my girlies.

This is us before a night out this week, we go out SO often here, so a lot of outfits are needed,

which of course is quite stressful... I absolutely adore both Katie & Mel's outfits here, absolutely adore the Bright jeans trend (you may have seen Ray's post about them here) and Mel's dress is so gorgeous, it has these sheer panels on the waist area (but you can't see them because my stupid image) 

Oh so I'm going back to LA in 2 weeks exactly. Whoopaaaa. So many plans for it: working at the Playboy Mansion party, visiting San Francisco & San Diego, hitting up Venice Beach (I haven't been for a few years, and it's one of my favourite places in CA). AHHH, if you have any suggestions of where I should visit, let me know....

on sunny days like these...

Spending time with your best friends on beautiful hot days is the best thing. Lounging about gossiping, drinking ice cold cocktails, having picnics in the park, walking the dog, sitting on the beach, borrowing each others summer clothes... 

Yesterday myself, Alice and Sinitta met up and went and did all the things above! This is what we wore (great photog skills from me in the first picture, terrible ones from Sinitta in the second!)

Alice wore: H&M black maxi dress, Topshop crochet cardi, ASOS trilby, ASOS shoes, Vintage bag.

Sinitta wore: H&M striped maxi dress, Topshop skinny belt, Superdry sunglasses, Topshop Hat

I wore: Primark vest, shorts & sandals, Topshop belt, Louis Vuitton handbag (handed down from my aunt!) 

Hindsight, I see my outfit and I don't like it as much, it needs an injection of colour... But it was nice to get a tan on my leggys whilst the girls were moaning about being covered up. Tomorrow will feature some colour! 

Tonight I am going to continue with my 'women in banking' essay WHOOPEEEE! (naaaaat- borat styley.) Then monday or tuesday (undecided at the mo!) I'm popping down to southampton to see the southy girls! Mish, wanna go for a cawfeeeeee??

FIRSTLY- A HOOOOGE HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY PAPA! i love you daddy! 

now onto the bizniz! friday, well that's pretty self explanatory! it's that day of the week that everyone loves,  you wake up actually happy to go to work/uni etc, you finish work/uni half an hour earlier, you go out and get drunk and don't have to worry about the reprocussions until monday morning! 

i'm home from uni for the weekend for my papa's birthday, but unfortunately work doesn't get cancelled for your birthday and he's working until 6 tonight. so until then i get to see my favourite girly! i haven't seen my bestie properly in about two months, we've had 10 minute chats on her doorstep, and hour long phone calls, but we've not done our traditional larmy+sindy things for quite sometime... (we eat carrots and homous, drink guava rubicon and read vogue) so this is how today will be spent. 

this year it's 10 years ago that my beautiful best friend Georgia died, but it also means 10 years that Sindy has been in my life! 4 months after Georgia passed away I moved house and school and met Sin, I always joke that she's my guardian angel- she got me through! 

so in honour of our 10 years, here are some snaps of us...

also a little fact for you- we have the same surname and she named her little sister is named after me! so there's a much cuter, 12 years younger, Alana Stuart walking around :) 

sorry this post has had not an ounce of fashion related content or whatever it is you enjoy reading on this blogson, but i'm feeling a tad unmotivated lately, and i'm beginning to realise that yes, material possessions are LUSH, but friends and family are nicer.

Insipration comes from all around us; a large chunk of my inspiration comes from my housemate Beth. I know I talk about her all the time but Beth has one of the most incredible wardrobes I've ever seen,  (don't even get me started on her jewellery box!) and I just thought you should know, and check out her new blog where she'll be posting pics of her incred outfits! 

Got a little promo job around the area of bars near to where I live so I'm off to start that tonight :) Going to be so cold and I left my warm coat at home after christmas BOO, so I may be a tad chilly!

Love what my girly Sindy is wearing, I need the faux fur stole in my life! But I refuse to pay £25 for the one from Topshop when she paid £10 from H&M!!! BOO!

 Brought these cute little wedge heels from New Look on Friday when I was shopping with my bestie Sindy. They were only £24.99... I've been looking for a pair of heeled shoes that I could wear in the day time for ages now and actually went in to New Look to buy a pair of heeled Military boots, I found something much more versatile instead I feel :)

swinging 60s is back in business.

my housemate needed some models for a fashion styling photography project. 

the topic was 'era' so she picked the 60s. 

george, sammy and i had a lot of fun doing the shoot but it was soooo nerve racking doing it in front of people! had a full blown audience going on.

the family you choose...

when I first came to university I met tonnes of people, each one of us in the same situation, away from home, knowing no one else and desperate to make friends. I once heard that the friends you make at university will be your besties forever.

we weren't all close friends before we moved in (I only met Debbie the day we moved in), 

but these girls are like my family now. 

i've always been part of a 'group', the picture below is of (l-r) Alice, Jazzy, Sindy & I, in October '07.  

Sindy and I have been friends since we were 10. we know everything there is to know about eachother. even though I don't see her every day anymore since we went to different universities I know we will always be there for eachother. when we see eachother after a long period of time it's like we never apart. and the same goes for alice. I've known her since we were 13. we've all basically grown up together. 

'we are who we are because of eachother.' 

I know this is a really random post, but I just wanted to take a moment to thank each one of these girls for being there for me over the years and even today I know I could turn to anyone of them if I have a problem. Tell your girls today that you love them. Friends are the family you choose.

i strongly stress the word constructive, nothing bitchy, catty or nasty, but constructive. like: "a thin black belt would have really worked with your outfit above alana" or "maybe tan shoes instead of those grey wedges?"   do you get me lovelies?!

Ah The Hangover is such a good film, anyone here love it as much as I do?! 

I'm not going to lie to you, I've been feeling really uninspired the last few days, I'm out of touch with the blogging world thanks very much to the stupid lack of internet in my house at uni so quickly grabbing 10 mins in the library to catch up when I can. Here are a few photos of me and my girls when we went out to a club called Bliss a few weeks ago, sorry they aren't brand new I accidentally stole them off of Beth's camera the other day and thought they were perfect to use :)

OH! And talking of great nights out... I went to Wahoo on Sunday night and met the gorgeous Michelle, that was so surreal, I hadn't met her before only stalked her blog everyday for the summer and to just bump into her was weird! I 'recognized' her teehee! I was drunk and I know I said something embarrassing like "Your voice isn't how I expected it to sound" (Not in a bad way Michelle!) 

Hopefully I will be seeing a lot more of Michelle over the next two years whilst we are at the same university!

Hello beauts! How has blogland been lately? I've missed it so much! The past week has been very hectic and also quite lonely at times; I'm back at uni, been catching up with all my friends who some I hadn't seen for nearly FOUR months! Summer is just too long! I've been out partying, enrolling at uni, already on a partying ban/revolt, been to hospital, missing home, and finally...Back home already for a long weekend. 

My university timetable is the best; I have thursday and friday off each week, so this allows me to come home or go and visit my friends over at other universities! Nice bit! 

The picture above is the best one I could find from that night of my outfit, and what are you thinking of my hair? I'm trying something a little more centred after I've seen some gorgeous girls with middle partings... I finally feel my hair is long enough to try and achieve this centre parting perfection... Oh and I'm also gonna be using hair extensions pretty soon fingers crossed!  

I've got lots more party outfits to upload when I get my hands on my housemate's camera. It's so annoying not having the internet in our uni house at the moment! Need to get that sorted asap!

braving it.

We got back from our little family vay-cay early Saturday evening so when I called my besties to see what they were upto going out seemed like a good idea after being cooped up with my family for a week.

Here's my gorgeous friend Sianie and I, the dress I'm wearing is hers, its from topshop... The reasoning for the title post 'braving it' is because this dress requires you not to wear a bra as it has a really nice open back... now I've always had issues with my boobs so this was a first for me and it also kinda debuted my tattoo as well :) Sianies dress is also from topshop. There was a full length photo of my outfit but the lighting was awful as well as terrible quality cause it was taken on a blackberry. 

anywho, after that liberating experience I'm thinking of investing in a few more sexy back dresses.... Backs are the new boobs I'm told. Haha!

Here are some photos of me and my beautiful housemate Beth when we went out for the night in Southampton last month. Beth only just sent me these photos so I had completely forgotten they existed! Please excuse the water splash on my dress in photo 2, when I'm drunk literally anything can happen I'm so clumsy. (How jealous of her uber long legs are we?!?!- although she has to kinda crouch in photos with my short ass!)

Beth considers a photo a good one if she's not looking at the camera so she'll probably hate that I included photo 2. (Hi Beth if you read this teehee). I'm not sure where any of Beth's outfit is from but I'll be sure to ask her. Check out her heels, they're fierce aren't they?! I'm definitely borrowing them at some point soon (love you 'homie').

and they called it puppy love...

this is Simba, my best friends 9week old puppy, new to our family! 

he's a scruffy looking little thing, but his face is gorgeous and has a funny little waddle walk.

everytime his little face looks up at us we cant help but melt. 

i have a cat and he's pretty independent but right now Simba is like a teeny little baby, you constantly have to keep an eye on him, house training him is gonna be a long and slowwww process!
